OPENING PRAYER

Father, we thank you for this New Year, we thank you also for last year and we thank you for this wonderful day, we thank you for everything particularly the gift of life. We bless your name for you

are wonderful, also we thank you for this opportunity to hear your words. Father, let the light in your words lightens our life and let our faith cometh as we hear your words in the name of Yeshua.  Amen!

POWER OF LOVE

Love is the strongest power on earth, it is the greatest commandment upon which all commandments hanged.

Matthew 22:36-40

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

It was love that made God to give up Yeshua to this world, to save mankind.

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The greatest of this unconditional love of God above speaking in tongues, above prophesy, above knowledge, above faith, and hope is explained in 1 Corinthians 13.

1 Corinthians 13

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

From verse 3 of this scripture, you will understand agape love better, giving to the needy is love but Paul says is not enough until it is Agape love and verses 4 to 8 now defines what agape love is.

It is the first of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Agape love is hard to find, this is loving God above all other things and loving others as yourself.

Matthew 10:37

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

BENEFITS OF LOVE

There are several benefits in loving God.

Love gives, God gave his best because of love.

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

When God loves you, he will give life for your life. Just as he has given his begotten for you he will give men for you also.

Isaiah 43:4

4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

All things will be working together for your good.

Romans 8:28

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

There is assurance of deliverance, lifting, answered prayer and more.

Psalm 91:14-16

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Preservation, the Lord preserve those that love him.

Psalm 145:20

20 The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

He is afflicted when we are afflicted, because of his love he feels our afflictions and he responded accordingly.

Isaiah 63:9

9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

Love changes curses to blessings.

Deuteronomy 23:3-5

3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord forever:

4 Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

5 Nevertheless the Lord thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the Lordthy God loved thee.

Chastisement, God correct those he loves through chastisement and that is a proof that you are his son or daughter.

Hebrews 12:6-7

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Love forgives multitude of sins. Our sins are forgiven because of the love of God.

1 Peter 4:8 

8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 

 Proverbs 10:12 

12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. 

Special things are prepared for those who love God.

1 Corinthians 2:9

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

HOW DO WE GET THE LOVE OF GOD?

Apart from the general love of God for mankind, there is a special love to those who believe in Yeshua and to get this love you must love God and you must love righteousness.

Psalm 11:7

7 For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

God love those who love him.

Proverbs 8:17

17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Prayers

Father, make me a candidate of your love in the name of Yeshua.

Father in the name of Yeshua I confess that I am a sinner, and I repent of my sins, and I ask that you forgive me. I confess with my mouth that Yeshua is Lord, and I believe in my heart that he died for my sins and that Yahweh raised him from the dead.
