MONTH OF PREPARATION

 OPENING PRAYER

Father, we thank you for this New Year, we thank you also for last year and we thank you for this wonderful day, we thank you for everything particularly the gift of life. We bless your name for you are wonderful, also we thank you for this opportunity to hear your words. Father, let the light in your words lightens our life and let our faith cometh as we hear your words in the name of Yeshua.

Amen!

Today we continue with our series NEWNESS and the topic today is NEW MAN AND NEW NAME

NEW MAN AND NEW NAME

In this chapter I will talk about new man and new name.

NEW MAN

New man is almost the same as new creature that we discussed in the last chapter, when you become a new creature, you become a new man.

Ephesians 4:24

24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

We are advised to always put on our new man, always be aware that you are different from whom you used to be.

NEW NAME

Isaiah 62:2

2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

In this new season the Lord said he will give us a new name.

New name does not mean you will change your name but whenever you give your life to God your name is change already because your last name is automatically changed to Yeshua.

Though for some of us we need to change our name physically, for name is a spirit that must be align with the spirit of a man and change of name is change of spirit.

You need to change your name when you see yourself as a nonentity amiss your peers or when nothing is working for you.

When Moses was going to die, he asked God to choose leader for Israel and God said choose Joshua for the spirit is in him.

Numbers 27:18

18 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;

If you pay attention to the bible very well Moses had earlier changed the name of Joshua long before God told him that Joshua will lead his people Israel to the promise land.

Moses changed the name of Joshua for no apparent reasons, from O’Shea (meaning salvation) to Joshua or Yeshua (meaning YAHWEH is SALVATION).

For Moses does not want Joshua to make his kind of mistake and he let him know that no man can do this but God and this is to help Joshua and the children of Israel as a constant reminder of who is in charge.

Also, changing your name is changing your destiny. If you are giving the wrong name, you will be heading in the wrong direction.

And God is aware of this too, which was why he changes the names of some important personalities in the bible so they can fulfill their destiny.

For example, Abraham and Sarah.

Genesis 17:5

5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

Genesis 17:15-16

15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

16 And I will bless her and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

For as long as they keep their old names, they will not be the father and mother of nations.

Same things go for Jacob, though he robbed his brother and took his blessings, though his father blessed him, though he outsmarts his father in-laws, something is still not working right, and God must fix that before he was truly blessed. He changed his name.

Genesis 32:28

28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

After that incident his life was restored, and his fear were gone.

Even king Pharaoh of Egypt has to change Joseph’s name to Zaphnathpaaneah meaning “savoir of life” while enthroning him so he can succeed.

Genesis 41:44-45

44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

45 And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

Peter and Paul’s name were change from Simon and Saul respectively so they can fulfill their destiny.

Rededicating your name and your life is also another way of renewing your name and your life.

With the right name you can easily prevail with God and with men. God call us by our name.

Isaiah 43:1

43 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

To prevail with God means to get your prayer answered at all costs.

God will eventually change all the names of those that overcome in the end.

Revelation 2:17

17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Prayer

I Cover myself and my name with the blood of Yeshua.

Father, I thank You for new birth and for naming me after you in the name of Yeshua.

O Lord as you change my name, change my destiny, change my identity just like you did to, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Joshua, Peter, and Paul in the name of Yeshua.

Angels of fire and war go on a search and recovery mission in the land of the living and that of the dead and recover my name from all evil altars that my name is being called, recover all I have lost through evil names in the name of Yeshua.

I renounce evil names I am been called in the kingdom of darkness in the name of Yeshua.

ALTAR CALL

First thing first you need to be born again if you are not or rededicate your life to Yeshua if you are not sure.

(Say this prayers).

Father in the name of Yeshua I confess that I am a sinner, and I repent of my sins, and I ask that you forgive me. I confess with my mouth that Yeshua is Lord, and I believe in my heart that he died for my sins and that Yahweh raised him from the dead. I declare that I will follow and serve Yeshua from now on and forever in the name of Yeshua. Amen!
