OPENING PRAYER
Father, we thank you for this wonderful day, we thank you for everything particularly the gift of life. We bless your name for you are wonderful, also we thank you for this opportunity to hear your word, let there be light and let our faith cometh in the name of Yeshua.
We continue with our series “Restoration to Perfection” for the Month of July
PROCESS OF RESTORATION TO PERFECTION
1 Peter 5:10
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Perfection is the ultimate goal of God for us, but no man can be perfect or good without God no matter how clean we are.
Isaiah 64:6
6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
For our righteousness is of God through the death of Yeshua.
2 Corinthians 5:21
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Yeshua said while responding to someone calling him good master.
“no man is perfect or good but God.”
Luke 18:18-19
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
But in another place, he said we should be perfect as our father in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 5:48
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
So, it is possible for man to be perfect or good but according to the bible from our text this is made possible by God himself, Peter said the God of all grace will make us Perfect.
1 Peter 5:10
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
It is good to know that our righteous is not by our work, but we are made righteous by God, and we are made perfect by God.
Hebrews 12:23
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
God’s plan for mankind is to get us our expected end, but it is only those who does his will, those who call upon him that will get that expected end and that end is the perfection of his glory in us.
Jeremiah 29:11-13
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
God said he will perfect everything that concerns us, and he will it is a matter of time.
Psalm 138:8
8 The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
OUT OF DARKNESS INTO THE LIGHT
The entire human race is in darkness regardless of where you are from, but to the believers God called us out from darkness unto his marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
The entire human race is corrupted and damaged in one way or the other many are heavily damage, and some are fairly damaged.
And furthermore, those who decided to follow Yeshua sincerely Satan has decided to fight and keep in perpetual bondage.
Revelation 12:17
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
We will be persecuted there is no short cut or lying about this.
2 Timothy 3:12
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
But out of all these persecutions we will be delivered.
Psalm 34:19
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
Yeshua told his disciples on several occasions that they will be persecuted but because he overcame, we will overcome.
John 16:33
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
GOD STEPS OF RESTORATION
Though the time of restoration for everyone is varied because of the depth of our iniquities and ignorance but the process of restoration is the same.
Sometimes looking at where we are restoration seems impossible but do not be afraid to start now for miracle is never late and whatever he begins, he will finish, again let him begin now.
Philippians 1:6
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
These steps are listed in our test.
1 Peter 5:10
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Which is rearranged in the following orders.
1 Peter 5:10
10 But the God of all grace, who hath (1) called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have (2) suffered a while, make you (6) perfect, (5) stablish, (3) strengthen, (4) settle you.
So, the steps are as follows.
1 Calling
2 suffering
3 Strength (Power and Authority)
4 Settlement
5 Stablish (Establishment)
6 Perfect (Perfection, Glory)
If you look at the list, you will see some rearrangement in 3 and 4.
God always empowers you before he finally settles you, for if you are settled without power the enemy will come and scatter you.
It is easy to put settlement before strengthening in writing.
Psalm 89:20-21
20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
But in God process of deliverance, it is strength before settlement, he does this so you will not be consumed by the enemies.
Exodus 23:29-30
29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
30 By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
When God delivers you or give you a possession, he drives out demon or the inhabitant slowly as you are gradually increasing in strength and in the power of the Holy spirit that is equivalent to withstand the left over demon for if they are driven out at once, you will be empty, as they come back as quickly as possible to see if there is room.
For we are not filled immediately with the Holy Spirit as some thinks, no we wait and pray to receive power until God’s timing.
Luke 24:49
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
He said to sit down until we get the power to reign in the mist of our enemies.
Psalm 110:1-2
1 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
2 The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
This waiting is a continuous process for increasing power and strength to combat new challenges.
Isaiah 40:31
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
So, regularly wait for new strength.
Psalm 27:14
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
As we can see in Exodus 23:29 above the Lord say they come back multiplied, which is the same with what Yeshua said in Mathew 12:43-45, he said if they come back and find you empty, they will go and bring 7 more demons and you will be worse than the beginning.
Matthew 12:43-45
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
And that is the reason we wait and pray for power.
FIRST THING FIRST
Before you can be qualified for this step you must first be born again.
Matthew 6:33
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
You must be born-again by the Spirit and by the water.
John 3:3-5
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
All these steps will be discussed accordingly in the future weeks.
