MERCY FOR REVIVAL

Habakkuk 3:2

2 O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.

Habakkuk called for revival in the middle of the year.

WHAT IS REVIVAL?

Revival is process of reviving someone or something. So, what is revive? Revive is to live again, might not necessarily mean to live again from death but to get better than our present condition.

So, a revival is a reawakening where the Holy Spirit moves in our life and setting our heart in a fresh fire for the Lord.

Revival brings unto us new power, authority and awakening. A revival is an improvement in the condition, power and strength of something.

As we are getting to the middle of the year we need a revival, there are several ways God can revive us, He can revive us through the power of resurrection and the life, He can revive us through His words, through prayers and fasting and most importantly in His mercy.

Today we will ask for revival through the mercy of God, for when God have mercy on you, you will surely be revived.

First thing first we need to understand mercy so we can faithfully ask for it on our journey of revival.

MERCY

WHAT IS MERCY?

Simply mercy is compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm.

Mercy in the kingdom of God is forgiveness or withholding punishment that is deserved.

We are all guilty of sin but God in his mercy sacrifice Yeshua HaMashiach on the cross to pay the price for our sins.

Mercy is that part of God that deals with judgement regarding our sins. It is the power of God to forgive and remove judgement and consequences of sins. Without the mercy of God, we will be consumed by either God or the devil.

Lamentations 3:22-23

22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Mercy reverses judgement.

Mercy is, you are guilty of everything, you are to be punished, you are to be put to death, but I let you go.

The woman taken in adultery was guilty of death, but Mercy said go and sin no more, her deserved judgement was erased by mercy.

John 8:1-11

1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.

2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Yeshua is the physical manifestation of mercy; his blood is the source of mercy and not just now but from the creation of this world.

PRODUCT OF LOVE AND GRACE

Mercy is a product of love and grace. The mercy of God operates in the area of judgement.

Bible says God is love.

1 John 4:8

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

And through grace mankind was preserved through Noah’s family.

Genesis 6:7-8

7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

But this is not enough to save mankind, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Thank God for mercy which came from love and grace of God, this was the blood of Yeshua that was shed at the foundation of this world.

The foundation of this world was laid on the blood of Yeshua and this is security for those who will believe on him.

Revelation 13:8

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

This blood that was slain for us from the beginning was made manifest at the cross to those who will believe.

1 Peter 1:18-20

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

So, everything that the Lord was showing us from the beginning were a shadow of things to come including the law of Moses.

Hebrews 10:1

1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

And this is where mercy comes in to avert the judgement of God and of the devil.

James 2:13

13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

Mercy is all about judgement and whenever mercy comes against judgement mercy always comes out a winner.

Mercy of God overrides the judgement of God and of darkness in our life and vindicate us.

The mercy of God is as a result of the shedding blood of Yeshua.

Guilty or not guilty as long as you are born again and ask for mercy, the mercy in the blood of Yeshua justified you and save you from the wrath of God and men.

Romans 5:9

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Prayer:

I am a product of love therefore all things work together for good for me in the name of Yeshua.

I am a product of grace I am unstoppable in the name of Yeshua.

I entered in the presence of God and I obtain mercy in the name of Yeshua.

Father, in your mercy revive my spirit, soul and body, revive my spiritual life, revive my career, revive my relationships, revive my marriage, revive my spiritual senses, revive my finance in the name of Yeshua.

Amen.

ALTAR CALL

First thing first you need to be born again if you are not or rededicate your life to Yeshua if you are not sure.

(Say this prayers).

Father in the name of Yeshua I confess that I am a sinner, and I repent of my sins, and I ask that you forgive me. I confess with my mouth that Yeshua is Lord, and I believe in my heart that he died for my sins and that Yahweh raised him from the dead. I declare that I will follow and serve Yeshua from now on and forever in the name of Yeshua. Amen!
