WAS JESUS BORN IN DECEMBER 25TH?
No controversy for the bible clearly says Jesus was conceived in June and if so, He will be born in late March or early April not December and that was the main reason God choses April to be the first month for the Israelites in the first place.
Exodus 12:2
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
MARY CONCEIVED ON THE SIXTH MONTH
Luke 1:26-37
26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
As opposed to many believes, the bible is very clear about the birth of Yeshua. It was recorded that angel Gabriel visited Mary in the sixth month which will be June.
Using Julian or Gregorian calendar, nine months from June will be March.
And it is very possible that the visitation is towards the end of June, since the angel said her cousin Elizabeth has conceived for sixth month.
Luke 1:36
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
Nine months from the end of June will still be end of March or early April.
Some says she did not conceive until some months later, that will still not bring her baby in December.
But the bible is very clear, she was conceived immediately and she went to visit her cousin and the baby in Elizabeth womb make obeyance to the baby in Mary’s womb at her arrival.
Luke 1:39-44
39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
Let us assume they used Jewish calendar, the first month (Abib or Nisan) in the Jewish calendar is April in Gregorian calendar.
Exodus 12:2
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
The angel visited Mary in the sixth month, sixth month from April will be September. If she conceived in September, nine months from September will be May.
So, the idea that Yeshua was born in December is not feasible and is not from the bible.
Also, looking at the circumstances around the birth of Yeshua still shows that the month will not be December.
Luke 2:1-11
1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Though it does not snow always in Israel, but the temperature can be very cold in December so having a baby and put him in a manger in a cold weather is very unlikely.
What about the Shepherds abiding in the field keeping their flocks in the night? All these are very rare in the cold weather.
According as planned the Roman simply choose the date to coincide with the birthday of their pagan god Mithra. Mithra is the god of the sun and was believed to be born on December 25 and this day was the most sacred day in Rome. This celebration is also associated with winter solstice to mark the end of the year’s harvest in the northern hemisphere.
Throughout history and long before the birth of Yeshua majority of the sun gods of many nations were all born on the 25th of December and funnily enough, they were all born by a virgin.
Satan one of the closest angels to God before his falling has put everything in place to take over from Yeshua including his birthday, but the month of conception of Yeshua shows otherwise.
The Romans did not take the church only but changes everything to conform to the life of their pagan gods.
Easter which used to be celebrated on the day of Passover, a fixed date, was changed to fall on Sunday after the first full moon of the spring equinox (day to celebrate goddess of spring and fertility).
Sunday was the only service day that was left unmoved just because it coincides with the day of their sun god, so they left it the way it is.
Sunday was chosen by Yeshua himself (another future topic).
There is nothing wrong in celebrating your God or remembering the resurrection, in fact we were to do these often, for example as Paul told us while taking communion.
1 Corinthians 11:26
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
But idolatry is an abomination to God.
Exodus 34:14
14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
Unknowingly we were made to serve and celebrate another God and in so doing we entered into unknown covenants that binds us to Satan.
Observing wrong holydays, respecting new moon and new year are all the things of pagans.
Colossians 2:16
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Everything God created are all subjected to men before Satan came and stole it from Adam.
Genesis 1:28
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
But today we are subjected to Satan just because of the disobedience of Adam.
Romans 5:12
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Now Satan claim ownership and held on to the world and the dominion and gives it only to those who worshiped him.
Luke 4:5-8
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
As we are getting closer to the end every day, we need to reevaluate our life are we in the right direction. I celebrated Christmas for the first 40 years of my life, and I thought I was doing the right thing until God showed me, I was celebrating another Jesus.
2 Corinthians 11:4
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
